• The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk.
  • Tkachuk was fined $5,000 for cross checking Boston Bruins forward Garnet Hathaway on Sunday.
  • The fine is the maximum allowed per the CBA.

• Defenseman Justin Braun announced his retirement from the NHL.
  • Braun played in the NHL for 13 seasons which saw him play for the San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, and New York Rangers.

Justin first entered the league in 2010 after being drafted in the 7th round of the 2007 Entry Draft to the @SanJoseSharks.

  • In The Garden, the Rangers look to go up 3-1 in their series against the Devils and in the first Jack Hughes scores his third. After a scoreless second, Vincent Trocheck nets his first to tie the game for the Rangers but then Jonas Siegenthaler nets his first to put the Devils up 2-1. Then, Ondrej Palat scores his first as the Devils get the 3-1 win and even the series 2-2.

In the second, Noel Acciari scores his second to put Toronto on the board but then the Bolts get two once more when Steven Stamkos scores his first of the playoffs and Alex Killorn gets his second of the night. In overtime, Alexander Kerfoot scores his first as the Leafs take the 3-1 series lead with the 5-4 win over the Lightning

• Vegas Golden Knights v. Winnipeg Jets – 930p ET – Game 4
  • In Winnipeg, the Golden Knights look to go up 3-1 against the Jets and in the first Blake Wheeler’s second puts Winnipeg up 1-0 but then Brett Howden’s first evens the score for Vegas. In the second, the Golden Knights get a pair when William Karlsson and Ivan Barbashev score to take the 3-1 lead. In the third, Pierre-Luc Dubois’ second brings the Jets within a goal but Brett Howden’s second of the night gives the Golden Knights the 4-2 win over the Jets and the 3-1 series lead.

• Colorado Avalanche v. Seattle Kraken – 10p ET – Game 4
  • In Seattle, the Kraken look to even their series against Colorado and in the first the Kraken get a pair when Will Borgen and Daniel Sprong each score their first goals of the post season. In the second, Colorado even the score with a pair from Mikko Rantanen. After a scoreless third the game heads to overtime where Jordan Eberle scores his first of the postseason to give the Kraken the 3-2 win over the Avalanche and even the series 2-2.

• Carolina Hurricanes v. New York Islanders – 1p ET – Game 4
  • On Long Island the New York Islanders would look to even their series against the visiting Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Seth Jarvis would score to give the Canes the 1-0 lead. In the second period Martin Necas and Sebastian Aho would score to grow the Canes lead to three. Then in the third period Adam Pelech and Bo Horvat would score for the Isles, but Jarvis’ second of the game and a tally from MacKenzie MacEachern would give the Hurricanes the 5-2 victory and the 3-1 series lead over the Islanders.

• Boston Bruins v. Florida Panthers – 330p ET – Game 4
  • In Florida the Boston Bruins would look to expand their series lead over the Panthers, and in the first period Brad Marchand would score to give the B’s the 1-0 lead. In the second period Jake DeBrusk would score to grow the B’s lead to two, but Matthew Tkachuk would score to get the Panthers back within one. Then in the third period Same Bennet would score for the Panthers, but a goal from Tyler Bertuzzi, DeBrusk’s second of the game, and a pair of goals from Taylor Hall would give the Bruins the 6-2 victory and 3-1 series lead over the Panthers.

• Dallas Stars v. Minnesota Wild – 630p ET – Game 4
  • In Minnesota, the Wild look to take the 3-1 series lead over the Stars and after a scoreless first, Dallas gets a 1-0 lead when Tyler Seguin scores his second. In the third, Evgenii Dadonov’s third of the year puts Dallas up 2-0 and then John Klingberg’s first puts Minnesota on the board. Then, Seguin nets his second of the game to give Dallas the two goal lead but then Frederick Gaudreau nets his second. However, Dallas will escape as the Stars get the 3-2 win over the Wild and tie the series 2-2.

• Edmonton Oilers v. Los Angeles Kings – 9p ET – Game 4
  • In Hollywood, the Oilers look to even their series with the Kings and in the first Los Angeles gets a trio of goals when Gabriel Vilardi nets his second, Viktor Arvidsson scores his first, and then Anze Kopitar strikes with his second. In the second, Evan Bouchard scores his second to put Edmonton on the board and then Leon Draisaitl nets a pair to even the score for the Oilers. In the third, the Kings re-take the lead when Matt Roy nets his first but Edmonton ties it up once more when Evander Kane scores his second. In overtime, Zach Hyman scores his first of the postseason as the Oilers even the series with a 5-4 win over the Kings.

  • In Winnipeg the Jets would play host to the Vegas Golden Knights for Game 3, and in the first period Chandler Stephenson and Jack Eichel would score for the Knights to take the 2-0 lead, but Kyle Connor would strike to get the Jets on the board and back within one. In the second period Eichel would net his second of the game and Keegan Kolesar would score to give the Knights the 4-1 lead. Then in the third period Nino Niederreiter, Mark Scheifele, and Adam Lowry would score to tie the game at four for the Jets to force overtime. After a scoreless 20 minutes of extra hockey Michael Amadio would strike in the second overtime period to give the Golden Knights the 5-4 victory over the Jets to take the 2-1 series lead.

• Toronto Maple Leafs v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET – Game 3
  • In Tampa Bay the Lightning would play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Game 3 of their series, and in the first period both teams would trade a pair of goals as Noel Acciari and Auston Matthews would score for the Leafs while Anthony Cirelli and Brandon Hagel would score for the Bolts for the 2-2 tie. In the second period Darren Raddysh would score to give the Bolts the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Ryan O’Reilly would score to tie the game at three for the Leafs to force overtime. Then in the third period Kyle Palmieri, Matt Martin, Scott Mayfield, and Anders Lee would score to give the Islanders the 5-1 victory over the Hurricanes to cut their series deficit to one.

  • In Toronto, the Maple Leafs look to even their series against the Lightning and in the first Toronto gets three when Mitchell Marner and John Tavares each net their first, and William Nylander scores his second. In the second, Tampa Bay gets on the board when Ian Cole scores his first of the postseason but then the Leafs respond when Tavares scores his second of the game, Zach Aston-Reese scores his first and Marner nets his second of the game.
