TXHT Jersey Share – Honoring the Yotes

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Arizona Coyotes Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey.

Back in April, it was a rough time if you were a player or fan of the Arizona Coyotes. It was announced that the team was being deactivated with all players, staff, and draft picks were being transferred to the new Utah franchise.

When news dropped that the Coyotes would be no more, I went to their team store online and I picked up their Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey. I knew that they had been selling them throughout this season, so getting one was really easy. However, I did pay full price for the jersey.

For the Coyotes, they did the same jersey for Reverse Retro 2.0 that they did for the first run of the Reverse Retro program. Only change they did was change the primary color from purple to desert sienna. While I liked the original green alternate, and the purple Reverse Retro versions, this one really got the desert aesthetic really nicely. The jersey does feature the Gila River Casino ad patch, which is a shame and ironic at the same time.

Overall, I really like this jersey, and I’m really glad that I was able to get one shortly after the NHL made it’s announcement about the Coyotes. It definitely goes nicely with the rest of my Reverse Retro jerseys too.

TXHT Jersey Share – Being a West All Star

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Western Conference Reverse Retro 2.0 All Star jersey from the 2023 All Star Game courtesy of the St. Louis Blues.

We’re back to it with the Reverse Retro program, and we have the St. Louis Blues to thank for this one. As mentioned in my past article about the Eastern Conference jersey, I’m a fan of the mid 1990’s All Star jerseys. They were hands down the best jerseys the NHL had. So, when the NHL brought them back in 2023 through the Reverse Retro 2.0 program, I was all in.

The West’s jersey would have a white primary compared to the East’s black. Also, the jersey would use the electric blue called Biscayne blue under the star and on the sleeve, where on the East jersey it would be white. So almost like a color swap in a sense.

I was able to obtain this jersey through the St. Louis Blues and their online team store STL Authentics. They still have the jersey in stock online, and on sale. I was very surprised that they still had anything from the 2023 All Star Game available. So it was natural for me to take advantage of this deal.

This was a great find, and one I’m really happy to have in my collection.

TXHT Jersey Share – Storming Home

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Carolina Hurricanes home jersey.

With the 2023-24 season over, the Adidas contract comes to a close. With that, all of the teams are needing to clean out their inventory as they prepare for Fanatics to take over the jersey making for the NHL. And that means Sales!!… Kind of.

For the Carolina Hurricanes, they did a major jersey sale. I hopped in there and got myself the home jersey. Plus, I had been eyeballing this one for a while. I even considered getting it when Ethan Bear was briefly with the club. Plus with Evgeny Kuznetsov with them, it made it just as tempting too.

The Hurricanes introduced this jersey as their alternate in 2018-19, and then in August of 2022, the Canes would make this jersey their home jersey. It’s a healthy departure from the jerseys they’ve done in the past. Plus the little details in the red piping on the jersey is a nice touch.

This is definitely one I’m glad I picked up for the collection.

  • TXHT Jersey Share – A Mystery from Detroit

TXHT Jersey Share – A Mystery from Detroit

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Detroit Red Wings home jersey that came in a Mystery Box from CoolHockey.com.

Near the end of the 2023-24 season, our friends at Cool Hockey released another round of Mystery Boxes. I obviously had to pick one up, and with the hopes of getting a team I didn’t have yet in my collection. Well, Cool Hockey did not disappoint.

The jersey I would receive would be an Alex DeBrincat Detroit Red Wings road jersey. This would mark the first Red Wings jersey for my collection. As for the player, I liked DeBrincat when he was with Chicago and Ottawa, but I didn’t really notice him too much with the Wings this past season.

As for the jersey itself, it is an iconic one. The Red Wings have had the same jersey design since 1956, and has only seen two changes since then. The first one happened in 1972 when the player names was added to the white jerseys, and then in 1977 when the player names were added to the red jerseys. In 1983, the Red Wings would curve the names on the jerseys, and center the logo on the front of the jersey

Overall, this is an amazing jersey, and one that I’m really happy to have in the collection.

  • TXHT Jersey Share – Game Worn with the Caps

TXHT Jersey Share – Game Worn with the Caps

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at Ethan Bear’s game worn road jersey with the Washington Capitals, courtesy of MeiGray.

For the first time in a long time, I was finally able to purchase a game worn jersey from MeiGray. This time around this was a gift to myself for finally paying off my debt to my dad. It was a long time coming, and quite frankly, it should have happened a long time ago if it weren’t for life throwing curveballs my way.

    The Jersey

Now, unlike my previous MeiGray purchase, I didn’t have the player I was going to purchase on Twitter to tell me which jersey to buy. This time I knew which jersey I wanted to get. I wanted to get Ethan Bear’s White Set 2 jersey that he made his Washington Capitals debut in.

Unfortunately for me, he wore a different white jersey when he recorded his first point as a Capital. However, having the jersey he made his debut in is nice little consolation.

This jersey had some work done on the sleeve, which I was able to photo match. It’s pretty cool to see that. I got to match it up to prove that it was used in a game outside of the normal certificate and tag from MeiGray.

This was a great pick up from MeiGray, and one I’m proud to have in my collection.

  • TXHT Jersey Share – Caps in Cree

TXHT Jersey Share – Caps in Cree

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at a special Ethan Bear Washington Capitals jersey courtesy of CoolHockey.com.

This should be no surprise to anyone, but this is now the third time you’ve seen me do a TXHT Jersey Share article on Ethan Bear. He now ties Alex Ovechkin* for most jerseys I have of a player. However, Bear has the special distinction of being the only player where I have all of their jerseys in a different language.

When the Washington Capitals signed Bear back in December I became very excited. He is someone that I like as a player, and with a lot of potential to be a contributor to whatever team he is on. So the moment he got signed this was an automatic lock for me.

Thanks to our friends at Cool Hockey, they were able to put this jersey together for me. They did an amazing job with the Cree Syllabics. And the jersey is right at home with the Oilers and Canucks jerseys that they have done for me in the past. The jersey is also the first one to feature the number 25 for Bear. He wore the number when he was with Carolina, but I never got a jersey while he was with them.

Overall, this is a great addition to my collection, and you can make fun of me all you want, but I’m happy with this collection of Ethan Bear jerseys.

*I have an Ovechkin jersey that has not been featured in the TXHT Jersey Share series.

TXHT Jersey Share – Going Outdoors at MetLife

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Philadelphia Flyers 2024 Stadium Series jersey.

As I’ve noted a while back, I was at the NHL Stadium Series game between the Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils at MetLife Stadium, and I had a good time with my good buddy Scott. And as I’ve also noted, I think the Flyers had the best jerseys of the four teams that participated in the Stadium Series that weekend. So obviously I had to pick one up. Luckily for me, the Flyers jersey was on sale on the NHL Shop website, and I was able to secure at a very good price.

Now if you’ve read my previous article on the jersey (which you can read here), I go into great detail on the jersey itself. However, since this is my first time talking about the game in an article since being there, I’m going to take the opportunity to do that.

The Official Jersey Retailer of TXHT

    At The Stadium Series

I thought the game was good. It was a very vibrant environment at MetLife Stadium which was headlined by the Jonas Brothers. As for the jerseys in action, the Flyers jerseys were definitely noticeable. You could read the numbers from up above where we were sitting, and as I predicted with the Devils, they were very hard to read in person. As for seeing the jerseys up close in person. When I could see the Flyers jersey at one of the NHL Shop booths, it definitely looked good. However, for the Devils, because they sold out so fast, I couldn’t really get a good look at them.

Overall, I had a fun time. Getting an Uber after the game was a nightmare, but we got back to our hotel eventually lol. But yea, it was fun.

TXHT Jersey Share – Going Reverse with Mystery

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Nashville Predators Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey courtesy of CoolHockey.com.

For our third Cool Hockey Mystery Box, we go back to the Reverse Retro 2.0 series with the Nashville Predators. The Preds for their second go around in the Reverse Retro program, they would go back to their first ever alternate jersey.

The Preds introduced their first alternate jersey back in 2001, and had it until 2007 when Reebok took over the jersey contract with the NHL. When the Predators had their original alternate jersey it would be mustard yellow with the front facing predator for the logo. The Reverse Retro version would change the yellow from that mustard color to the Smashville Gold that they wear today.

For the player, I received Cody Glass, so it ruined my run of Hall of Famers, but Glass is a respectable player for the Preds, and it allows me to have a Predators jersey with the original fonts they had for names and numbers from when they first enter the NHL in 1998.

Overall, it’s a really cool jersey to have in the collection, and my Reverse Retro collection grew a little more thanks to Cool Hockey.

  • TXHT Jersey Share – A Heritage Devil

TXHT Jersey Share – A Heritage Devil

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the New Jersey Devils heritage jersey courtesy of CoolHockey.com.

Right back at it with our second heritage themed Cool Hockey Mystery Box, and this one pays homage to when the New Jersey Devils first moved to from Colorado in 1982. Before coming to New Jersey, the Kansas City Scouts joined the NHL in 1974, along with the Washington Capitals, but they would move to Colorado to become the Rockies in 1976. Then in 1982 the Rockies would move to New Jersey to become the Devils.

When the Devils first started playing their colors would be red, white, and green. The Devils would then switch over from the green to the black that we’ve grown accustomed to in 1992.

For this Mystery Box acquisition, we would also obtain our second Hall of Famer in former Capital, and Devils legend, Scott Stevens. This would also become the second Stevens jersey for my collection.

I really like how the Devils will do a game or two a season wearing this jersey. They’ve been doing so since 2018, and was even inspiration for the Devils first Reverse Retro jersey in 2021. Overall, this is a really nice jersey to have in the collection.

TXHT Jersey Share – A Hull Worthy Blue

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the St. Louis Blues heritage alternate jersey courtesy of CoolHockey.com.

Over the last few months I’ve ordered a few Cool Hockey Mystery Boxes, and here we have Box #3, and I honestly like the theme I got with the first batch of boxes. The theme I got was Hall of Famers with a heritage homage.

    The Jersey

Starting off out in the Midwest as we would get the St. Louis Blues heritage alternate jersey. This jersey first debuted at the 2017 NHL Winter Classic, and then became their regular alternate jersey during the 2018-19 season, and has been the alternate jersey since.

The jersey features the inaugural blue and gold, and in the style jerseys that the team wore starting back in 1967 when they came into the NHL. It’s a very solid jersey and it’s simplicity is what makes it an instant classic of a jersey.

One of the nice things about the Mystery Boxes from Cool Hockey is that the majority of the jerseys this time around would be customized, and this one would not disappoint as I would receive a player that a lot of people really love, especially in St. Louis. The player would be none other than Hockey Hall of Famer, Brett Hull.

Overall, this is a really awesome jersey, and one that I’m happy to have in my collection.
