    Today in the NWHL the Connecticut Whale announced a new signing for the 2019-20 season.

     

    The Whale have signed UMass Boston’s leading scorer Jane Morrisette to a one year deal.

    Morrisette participated in the Whale’s free agent training camp a couple of weeks ago and impressed General Manager Bray Ketchum with her determination. Morrisette’s salary was not disclosed.

     

    All players will partake in the 50 percent cut of revenue from league sponsorship and media deals. Plus they will also receive 15 percent of revenue from apparel sold with their name on it.

    Coming Soon – What to expect from TXHTHockey.com this Offseason

    Ladies and gentlemen X75 Productions is proud to announce this offseason’s lineup for TXHTHockey.com.

     

    With the 2018-19 NHL Season officially concluded, TXHT will be covering the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft, and the first 36 hours of free agency. Also TXHT will continue to cover the NWHL’s Free Agency news as they are announced. TXHT will also cover all major NHL news throughout the summer as deemed appropriate.

     

    Also this summer TXHT will be doing a Jersey Share series which will feature hockey jerseys that have been collected over the years. This is expected to start in the next week or two.

     

    TXHT will return to full NHL coverage in September.

     

    X75 Productions is proud to announce that AwesomeMania with Ben Taylor and Michael Lindenbaum is back in full force with all of your pro wrestling talk.

    Today in the NWHL, we had a major announcement involving the Buffalo Beauts.

     

    The have announced that Pete Perram will become the new head coach for the 2019-20 season.

    Perram comes with more than two decades of experience in women’s hockey at multiple levels including international, club, collegiate and local level hockey.

    *Update*

    The Beauts would not stop there as they would also announce their first player signing for the 2019-20 season. Forward Corinne Buie has re-signed for her fourth season with the Beauts, and fifth in the NWHL.

    Buie, who is a two time Isobel Cup Champion, has in 74 career games scored 24 goals and has amassed 42 points in her first 4 seasons in the NWHL. Buie’s salary was not disclosed.

    Today in the NWHL we had another signing announced for the Minnesota Whitecaps.

     

    The Whitecaps have re-signed defender Amanda Boulier for the 2019-20 season.

    Boulier will be entering her third season in the NWHL, and second with the Whitecaps. Last season Bouiler was a finalist for Defender of the Year. Boulier’s salary was not disclosed.

    Today in the NWHL, we’ve had another signing announced today for the 2019-20 season.

     

    The Connecticut Whale have re-signed defender Jordan Brickner for her fifth season with the team.

    In 68 career NWHL games, Brickner has scored two goals and 21 assists, and is a 2017 All Star. Brickner’s salary was not disclosed.

    Today in the NWHL we had another Free Agent signing announced for the 2019-20 season.

     

    The Metropolitan Riveters have signed Cary, North Carolina native Colleen Murphy to a one year deal.

    Murphy, who commutes regularly from North Carolina, will be playing for her third team in her third season having spent her first two seasons with the Buffalo Beauts and the Connecticut Whale respectively. Murphy’s salary was not disclosed.

    Today in NWHL news we had one free agent signing take place.

     

    The Minnesota Whitecaps have signed forward Nicole Schammel to a one year contract.

    Schammel will be entering her first season with the Whitecaps and in the NWHL. Schammel’s salary was not disclosed.

    Today in the NWHL teams continue to build their rosters through free agency with two announced signings.

     

    First up we have the Boston Pride re-sign Mary Parker to a one year contract.

    Parker will be entering her third full season in NWHL. Parker’s salary was not disclosed.

     

    Then the Minnesota Whitecaps re-signed 2018-19 Newcomer of the Year Jonna Curtis for the 2019-20 season.

    Curtis will be entering her second season with both the Whitecaps and the NWHL as she looks for her second Isobel Cup. Curtis’ salary was not disclosed.

    This morning was a busy one for the NWHL as they made three free agent signing announcements.

     

    First it was the Connecticut Whale re-signing defender and NWHL veteran Elena Orlando to a one year deal.

    Orlando will be playing in her fourth season with the Whale, and her fifth in the NWHL. Orlando’s salary was not disclosed.

     

    Next up it would be announced that the Boston Pride has re-signed Mallory Souliotis to a one year contract.

    This will be Souliotis’ second full season with the Pride and in the NWHL. Souliotis’ salary was also not disclosed.

     

    Then it would be the Minnesota Whitecaps signing the goaltender of free agency when the re-signed Amanda Leveille for the 2019-20 season.

    Leveille is a two time Isobel Cup Champion (2017 with Buffalo, and 2019 with Minnesota), and with her sigming she became the 15th player to sign for the 2019-20 season. Leveille’s salary was also not disclosed.

    In NWHL news today it was announced that the Connecticut Whale has signed forward Kendra Broad, who is returning to North America after spending the last three seasons in Europe.
