#2 Florida Panthers v. #1 Tampa Bay Lightning – Game 4
Lightning Leads Series 2-1
The Panthers did well take game 3, but this game is nearly as important as the last, because it is very unlikely that they will be able to overcome a 3-1 deficit to a team as strong as the Lightning.Â
The game did not start well for Florida, with Tampa with Anthony Cirelli giving the Lightning a 1-0 lead:
Tampa added to its lead as Yanni Gourde made it 2-0:Â
Florida was able to get one back as Jonathan Huberdeau scored on the power play to bring the Panthers within one:
Ondrej Palat added another for Tampa though as they took a 3-1 lead in to the second:
Alex Killorn started off the scoring in the second, to put the Lightning up 4-1:
Killorn added another to give Tampa a 5-1 lead:
The Panthers got one back though with 1:15 left in the period off a goal by Carter Verhaeghe:
In the end it was too much though, with Tampa scoring the loan goal of the third as Nikita Kucherov made it 6-2:
Kucherov ended the night with 4 points, giving him 9 points in 4 games. You have to feel for Panthers fans that an already great team got to add an all world player with no cap penalty, but the NHL has its rules.
Must win game for Florida in Game 5.
