Islanders – Flyers Game 2

First Period:

The Flyers, seemingly eager to prove that game 1 was a fluke, opened the scoring less than two minutes in to the game with Kevin Hayes notching his second of the playoffs.

Hayes extended the lead with another goal a few minutes later

The fun wasn’t over then. Sean Couturier made it 3-0 late in the first with a great move.

That was the end for Varlamov, as Greiss replaced him.

Second Period:

The Islanders did not give up though, with the only scoring of the second period being a goal by Anders Lee to cut the lead to 3-1.

Third Period:

The third period was all Islanders as Anthony Beauvillier scored his seventh of the playoffs.

Pageau evened the score to send the game in to overtime.

Overtime:

The Flyers showed great resilience in not folding after giving up a three goal lead as Myers ended the game.

Next game is Thursday 8/27 at 730.
