- In game one between the New York Islander and Tampa Bay Lightning it would be a tight affair, but after a scoreless first period Mathew Barzal would would open the scoring for the Isles. Then in the third period Ryan Pulock would put the Isles up by two, but Brayden Point would score late in regulation to bring the Bolts back within one. However, the Islanders would hold on for the 2-1 victory take the early 1-0 series lead.
