Bruce Boudreau fired as Head Coach by Wild

The Minnesota Wild today announced that Head Coach Bruce Boudreau has been relieved of his head coaching duties, effective immediately.

Boudreau, 65, had been the Head Coach of the Wild since 2016-17 season.  He compiled a record of 158-110-35 over the last three and a half seasons, and only made the playoffs twice, losing in the first round of Stanley Cup Playoffs in both appearances.

Minnesota thus far on the season has a record of 27-23-7, and is currently three points back of the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.

Per Darren Dreger, Dean Evason has been named interim Head Coach with a replacement to be named in the offseason.
